History and Invention

Jacky Munger, inventor of the Speedlingua process, had always found it difficult to understand and learn foreign languages. One day, however, upon receiving the results of a hearing test that revealed that he had poor auditory capacities at high frequencies, he immediately thought that he had identified the main cause of his difficulties with language learning. Munger persisted with this line of thought. With the help of a musician friend, he discovered that his own voice could be modulated upwards or downwards to create an auditory stimulus that could bring surprising results: his voice automatically adapted to the new frequencies going in through his ears! Spurred on by this finding, he carried out numerous tests in a studio and proved that one’s voice, pronunciation and way of speaking are directly linked to one’s listening capacity. The revolutionary Speedlingua process is capable of "opening" the ear to the phonetic subtleties of other languages.
